When one company buys another, one question always comes up: what does it change for me?
Will the quality of service and delivery times change? Will the staff change? Will Xpress and its products disappear?
You deserve to have information straight from the source, without rumors or interpretations. Which is why we will be entirely transparent about this transaction. In this article, you'll discover :
- Why Premium has acquired Pont Roulant Xpress
- How this acquisition solves concrete problems for you
- What does and doesn't change for your experience with Premium and Xpress
Why did Premium acquire
Pont Roulant Xpress ?
This acquisition is aimed at solving problems such as service delays on the South Shore or the lack of options for certain specialized projects. It also gives you access to cutting-edge lifting solutions, thanks to the GH Cranes product range.
But what were the problems some people were experiencing, and the solution Xpress provides?
What problems does Premium's acquisition of Pont Roulant Express solve ?
Problem 1 - South Shore coverage
Previously, companies located on the South Shore and surrounding areas (Montérégie, Eastern Townships, Centre-du-Québec) had to wait longer for a Premium technician to arrive than companies on the North Shore. For example: a South Shore company purchased 30 Premium overhead cranes. With good reason, they expect fast after-sales service. But crossing overhead cranes at rush hour slows down service. The result: lost productivity and frustration.
Solution
With Pont Roulant Xpress positioned close to Saint-Hyacinthe, this problem has now been solved. Technicians are stationed at 3 strategic points, including 1 on the South Shore. Lead times are then reduced.
Problem 2 – Product limitations
Stahl products are renowned for their quality, reliability and versatility (see "Why partner with Stahl Crane Systems?" in our "About us" section). But no product is perfect. They all have limitations.
Here are some of the product limitations we faced :
- No customized products for high classes of use, such as " open-winch " hoists.
Until now, our available options didn't meet your expectations in terms of price and delivery times.
- Limited integration with Industry 4.0 : More and more companies are looking to connect their various machines with digital technologies.
However, our solutions didn't allow you to easily connect overhead cranes and collect data from them.
- Occasionally longer delivery times.
In certain circumstances, product delivery times could be extended.
Solution
Thanks to Pont Roulant Xpress's partnership with GH Cranes, these limitations have now been overcome. You now have access to open-winch hoists and advanced control and monitoring technology (see Corebox product). This means you can configure your equipment to suit your needs, even for high classes, and connect your plant with the right technological solutions. What's more, access to a new range of products will give you greater flexibility to meet your deadlines (see box " Project to increase the inventory of GH parts ").
Now, what does this acquisition change for you as a Premium or Xpress customer?

No.
