What are the requirements for spare parts?

Replacement parts are also covered by standards. They must meet or exceed the requirements of the manufacturer's specifications (CSA-B167-16 8.3.2; RSST 245.6). You must therefore be sure to document an "equivalent" replacement part, so that you can demonstrate that it has the same properties as the original part.
