Which partners and lifting solutions guarantee seamless integration into an existing machine network?

When ContiTech Canada Inc, a subsidiary of the Continental group, needed to modernize its Granby plant with two series of synchronized hoists, the stakes were clear: this was no simple installation, but an ambitious project involving several stakeholders. Thanks to its technical expertise in hoisting and automation, as well as its ability to meet complex challenges, Premium asserted itself as the partner of choice.

In this case study, find out how this partnership turned a technical challenge into a success, thanks to good coordination.

The Context : A need for automation and integration

ContiTech has a long tradition of developing and integrating its own automated machines. However, this project involved an additional constraint: integrating lifting equipment into an existing network of machines. This challenge called for both a high-performance technical solution and specialized support to ensure optimum installation.

The solution : Technical expertise and coordination

Premium, in collaboration with Canstahl, designed and delivered a turnkey solution including :

  1. Reinforcement of the existing structure, carried out by Premium Industrial Structures, to meet the new load requirements.
  2. 11 Stahl SH series monorail hoists, designed for tandem operation with precise synchronization and load-sharing systems.
  3. Automated access to specific areas, guaranteeing worker safety.

All stages - structural reinforcement, hoist installation, electrical connections, testing and network integration - were completed in just two weeks, taking advantage of public holidays to minimize production interruptions.

Le result : A technical and human success

Thanks to rigorous planning and coordination between Premium Industrial Group, Premium Industrial Structures and ContiTech's teams, this ambitious project was successfully completed on schedule. This collaboration has paved the way for even more advanced lifting operations in the future.

" We are indeed very satisfied with the final result; everything stayed within budget and deadlines with the desired quality. The cleanup of the old structure was well done in the roof beams.  " – Benjamin Cloutier
