Temporary end stop
To ensure worker safety, Premium Industrial Group has created a tool that complies with CSA standards.
Temporary bumper for overhead cranes: A simple solution to prevent collisions during maintenance
When maintenance needs to be performed on a lifting device, it often complicates operations for other equipment sharing the same track. Groupe Industriel Premium has developed a practical solution to this common issue: the temporary bumper for overhead cranes.
Why Use a Temporary Bumper?
These bumpers allow you to safely block a crane temporarily without disrupting the operation of nearby equipment. They're especially useful during maintenance on the crane itself, or for tasks performed nearby, such as repairing lights or a garage door located in the crane’s operating area.
Compliant with CSA B167-16 Standard
This device is designed to meet Section 4.3.4 of the CSA B167-16 standard, which states that when maintenance is being carried out on a crane, bumpers must be installed to prevent collisions with other operating equipment on the same track. Ensuring compliance with this standard improves workplace safety and helps avoid costly production shutdowns.
Price and Compatibility
The cost of one pair of temporary bumpers is $1,875 CAD. Before installation, it is essential to verify compatibility with your existing overhead cranes. Our team is available to assist you with this step.
Important Note: These bumpers are currently certified for use in Canada only.
